Kanching Waterfall, Kanching Recreational Forest, Selangor Malaysia

Another waterwall we visited on last weekend, along with Myin, Fatty, Eugene, Anston, Aaron, Alvin Chew, and Logical Yuan. Nice to meet you guy, and really enjoy the trip, just the lunch sucks. 1st time visit to Kanching Waterfall, and reliance that i’m old already since meet up with those younger friends. Kanching Waterfall and Kanching Recreational Forest is one of the Forest Reserve in Malaysia, and noticed that lot of people visit on weekend. It was great place for nature photo shooting and also for picnic purpose. Pity me to act as Malaysian citizen as i no idea where is it before i came and Kanching Waterfall is one of the well-known among the locals, and my parents used to brought me when i’m small little boy.

How to go here? We start our journey from Sri Petaling, using MRR2 highway direct to Jalan Ipoh there, after Batu Cave there follow Kuantan direction, all the way to Selayang then before Rawang there, then u will saw Hutan Lipuh Kanching on your right hand site, make a u turn because there was divider that cant make u right turn. Journey took about 45min or less than that.

Some description about Kanching Waterfall, Kanching Recreational Forest:

This tourist attraction is an excellent place for picnicking and camping especially near its cascading waterfalls. The more popular spots among picnickers are the second and third levels, where the waterfalls end in spacious pools and bouldered streams. At the lower level, the torrents slow down into a calmer river, providing a safer place for children to take a dip.

The recreational forest, a great hideout for a weekend getaway or a picnic, is well-known among the locals. The forest holds special appeal for nature lovers in search of peace and serenity in its waterfalls, which is definitely worth a visit.

The 1st Waterfall – Lata Bemban : Not much visitor stop by this Lata Bemban waterfall, level space is limited and not easy to get down to the poll.

Before story, let have some intro about Thaipusam Festival 1st. “Once a year they celebrate the Thaipusam festival in the Batu Caves. It’s a celebration for the son of Shiva (Subramaniam) and the becoming “one” of Pusan and the Brihaspati stars. Every year, on Thaipusam, as many as 800,000 devotees and other visitors may throng the caves. As a form of penance or sacrifice, many of them carry kavadis (literally, “burden,” such as a pitcher or jug). These are large, brightly decorated frameworks, usually combined with various metal hooks and skewers which are used to pierce the skin, cheeks and tongue. By doing this penance they expect some favours from their Gods. The festival is held in the tenth month of the Hindu calendar (mostly the end of January).” i grab this from Malaysiasite keke…

Crowded made me feel uncomfortable, and also those unknown smell, even i cant recognize what the heck is that. Especially when we enter the cave, i almost vomit blood and fall down. If you dont understand what i try to deliver, maybe u can try visit Batu Caves on coming Thaipusam Festival. It just dirty, until i not able to stay there!
