Another waterwall we visited on last weekend, along with Myin, Fatty, Eugene, Anston, Aaron, Alvin Chew, and Logical Yuan. Nice to meet you guy, and really enjoy the trip, just the lunch sucks. 1st time visit to Kanching Waterfall, and reliance that i’m old already since meet up with those younger friends. Kanching Waterfall and Kanching Recreational Forest is one of the Forest Reserve in Malaysia, and noticed that lot of people visit on weekend. It was great place for nature photo shooting and also for picnic purpose. Pity me to act as Malaysian citizen as i no idea where is it before i came and Kanching Waterfall is one of the well-known among the locals, and my parents used to brought me when i’m small little boy.
How to go here? We start our journey from Sri Petaling, using MRR2 highway direct to Jalan Ipoh there, after Batu Cave there follow Kuantan direction, all the way to Selayang then before Rawang there, then u will saw Hutan Lipuh Kanching on your right hand site, make a u turn because there was divider that cant make u right turn. Journey took about 45min or less than that.
Some description about Kanching Waterfall, Kanching Recreational Forest:
This tourist attraction is an excellent place for picnicking and camping especially near its cascading waterfalls. The more popular spots among picnickers are the second and third levels, where the waterfalls end in spacious pools and bouldered streams. At the lower level, the torrents slow down into a calmer river, providing a safer place for children to take a dip.
The recreational forest, a great hideout for a weekend getaway or a picnic, is well-known among the locals. The forest holds special appeal for nature lovers in search of peace and serenity in its waterfalls, which is definitely worth a visit.
The 1st Waterfall – Lata Bemban : Not much visitor stop by this Lata Bemban waterfall, level space is limited and not easy to get down to the poll.
The 2nd Waterfall – Lata Terentang : Provides large area of picnic area, most people choose to stay here and not continue uphill to next fall. Comfortable polls and lesser rock there, and ready changing room facilities.
The 3rd Waterfall – Lata Tempenis : After long walkway, you can found better and flat pool on this waterfall. Upon got stair and place to keep dry belonging.
The 4th Waterfall – Lata Kapur : After ‘dangerous’ pathway, you can reach this falls, not best place for picnic as lack of spaces but great for photo shooting.
The 5th Waterfall – Lata Tembusu : To reach this fall, there is long stairways waiting, and may frighten someone who scare high. Not recommend to photo shooting here, as not much space to let you down to poll, and lot of rocks.
The 6th Waterfall – Lata Gapis : A very tall waterfall, best for shooting as found lot of nature plants, and bugs over here.
Some Shoot on those nature life:
Cleaner and fresher compare to Gabai Waterfall, Ulu Langat. Thus lot of people visit here during weekend, and it got about 6 waterfall all the way uphill. We spent about 4 hour playing around, shooting around there. Maybe we were late there, we found nothing special to snap just only the waterfall scenery, and biten by unknown bugs all the way include lich. Lucky, it didnt non-stop bleeding like visited Semenyih Water Dam previously.
Some photo would like to share:
Then, another Sarawak Batu Niah local food coming next!
